Daisy's first birthday.

Today is 29 March 2013. Daisy was born on 29 March 2012. If Daisy was still around, she would have turn one today. If she was around, I will celebrate her birthday with a blast. It would be a big day.

It's been 5 months since Daisy left. After so long, I still miss her and want her back so much. I can't even describe how much I miss her using words. It saddens me so much that she left so suddenly. I remember that during her last days, she was a fighter. She still live happily together with Mafia. I'm so proud of her. Whenever I think of her, I have so many "If only.." thoughts. I really wish I could turn back in time and prevent Daisy from being traumatized by the groomer.

I can still remember vividly the day Daisy passed away. She was panting so heavily, grabbing as much air as she can. She died right in my arms and there was nothing I can do but to watch her leave me and Mafia. I cried so badly instantly. I kept begging for her to come back to me, kept shaking her to wake her up, but nothing changed. She left for real. I was only crying and nothing else. I couldn't think what to do next, I just wanted to cry it all out. Daisy soon lost her warm and slowly turn cold. Her muscles were so relaxed that just by brushing my hand on her fur would pull her fur out.

The cremation was a terrible thing to witness. It was the signal that everything of hers will be gone. Waiting for Daisy's ashes was the longest wait ever. And when I got to see it, it made me realized how weak one's life could be. I brought Daisy's ashes home safely and wished that one day I'll get a bunny like Daisy again. I know she's never replaceable still. Time to time when I think about Daisy, and it makes me regret so many things that I've not done enough. If only I could turn back into the days I still have Daisy, I'll do so much more things for her and Mafia.

On this special day, I wish that Daisy will still be happy at Rainbow Bridge and that she will never never forget us. And if she does forget us, I hope she will be able to find another family who she loves, and loves her back unconditionally.

I love you Daisy,
With lots and lots of love and misses,
Daddy Aucks.

When I'm gone, what happened.

So I've been away from blogging for a really long time. So I shall update a little what I've been doing!

Finally, design school has ended. After three years of long and hardcore sleepless nights, I've finally graduated with a Diploma in Interior Design. Though I won't be graduating with a good GPA since I've had too many late submissions during year one and two. 4 to be exact, and 3 of them are final submissions, which has the heaviest component. And after three years, I realized that my full potential might not be interior design. I may or may not had fully explored, but I'm thinking that probably exhibition/installation/furniture design might suit me more.

Okay maybe I should just grab instagram pictures to show what I've been doing for the past four months when I was missing from blogging.

Got really burnt last week while I was at Sentosa. But I totally enjoyed my day at Adventure Cove Water Park. Since I'm working over there and have not tried the rides, it would be good to explore the area once and for all. But too bad the crowd was way too heavy due to school holidays and it was packed like sardine fishes. Took only two rides and I gave up queueing.

I also helped out a course mate for a photoshop. It was a Final Year Project by the Visual and Media students and it was fun! Was really awkward at first but soon we broke the ice (Kinda). The project was created by the two ladies in black, aiming to promote local designers.

Totally loving the top by Mashup Singapore. It was meant to be oversized but still a little big, but the bat wing shirt killed me. If it was affordable I would totally get it.

Yeah I got a new bunny. She's called Pancake. Inspired from her color. This was the first picture I took of her. She's such a cutie. Unlike the independent Mafia, she loves to be pet on her head. She would annoy you consistently to get your attention until you pet her on her nose and head.

As you can see from her updated picture, she actually a lionhead lop. Look at her beautiful mane. But oh well when she gets older I'll definitely cut her manes short.

Singapore Polytechnic's Design School held a graduation show at URA last week and it was good. Took a pretty picture of the entire clique (Without Joline cause she was late lol).

The one that listened to me when I needed her. Thank you Joan for enduring all my nonsense the last two years. Though there was a short period we parted, but I'm glad we are back together. Love annoying you every single day in the studio and I'll miss it for sure.

The furniture atelier mini clique! We have been through so so so much throughout the entire FYP. I'm so glad all of us made i through! Dee you've been such an interesting friend for the past 2+ years? So many many secrets and bitch talks we had hehe. Well surprising we get along so well even when I don't club with you. And you Jong! Being in the clique with you made me laugh so much. You and you're jokes and sarcasm haha! And of course Joline. We too had many many talks and yes I've known you so much better through these years! Some bad things happened before and I parted from the clique and I'm so glad we are together again *blush face*

Potts  + Xinying my amazing CF good friends! Thank you for all the good times we had. I know we have been saying to catch up since we parted after CF and we haven't, so now that all of us have graduated I'm sure we can meet up again! Oh and I realized all of us have been changing our hairstyle or color so often too. I love you guys!

And finally my FYP furniture piece is back at home, where it should be~ Yucks so cheesy. All the handwork I've spent on it I'm sure it deserves somewhere to be called home right? I just hope it will not just last for a year.

So much have happened this four months and this blog post won't be enough. I hope I'll be blogging a lot more often now since I'll be pretty free. On a lighter note, it will be Daisy's first birthday in two days. If only she was still here.

5 life lessons I've learnt from my pet bunny.

1 | NEVER HIDE THE CUTENESS OF YOURSELF.

Daisy was always "acting" cute. Okay, she didn't have to. She was so adorable she was well-loved by all my friends, family, instagrammers, facbook-er etc. She never fail to make anyone smile, except when she gets annoyed with people and start scratching anyone in her way. She's a sweet, yet rough girl. I love it when she does her binkies, stand up for her treats and when she cleans herself up by licking herself all over.

2 | WHEN YOU DISLIKE IT, JUST BITE IT.

Daisy was always biting when she's uncomfortable. She bites when anyone carries her when she doesn't like it, she bites when you're in her way, she bites almost for anything she hates. She was never hiding her thoughts. She would do what that comes into her mind: TO BITE. The very last time she bit me what during her grooming session. She was timid and was scared of the group of customers over at the store. (Looked at my wound and it's almost healing.)

3 | NEVER GET ENOUGH OF ANYTHING.

It's okay to ask for more. Nothing's wrong with that. Daisy was always asking for more. Longer baths, more food, more snuggles, more treats, more sleep etc. It's okay to never be satisfied.

4 | IT'S OKAY TO BE FAT.

Daisy was tiny when she just came. She was slightly skinny. After the 3 months with her, she gained so much weight. She has a  huge ass just fyi. She would always rest on her huge ass and laze at a corner, making herself so comfortable. she look so cute with her lazy eyes and her floppy ears. She was so fat Momsy named her 胖妞 (Fat girl). Thank you to Momsy for feeding her into such a fat little girl.

5 | EVERYONE HAS A BEST FRIEND.

When Mafia + Daisy just met, they fought. Mafia plucked some of Daisy's fur teehee. They were so territorial they couldn't stand each other in the same cage. They peed all over and made a huge mess in the cage.

But now, look at them. They can't live without each other. Once, I brought Daisy out to school for the whole day and Mafia was depressed. They would always lick each others' ears and eyes, and snuggle with each other when sleeping. They were inseparable.

This was the first picture I saw of Daisy. Fell in love with her beautiful color, floppy ears, cute big nose, shiny eyes and big paw pads. It was love at first sight like Mafia.

Daisy first bath. She was really enjoying water baths a lot. She look so uglily cute with all her fur down. Look at her super huge hind legs.

First picture of me carrying Daisy. She was looking at me curiously, "Who's this dude?"

Daisy standing up to get treats. It was the day I truly explored how high Daisy can stand.

Daisy looking sooooooo cute in this picture! Her nose look extra big.

First sketch of Daisy by Joline. She did a super good job right. Thank you.

Daisy after her first grooming session. She was nicely clipped and her paws were clean and trimmed. She smell so so so good. I can still remember the smell of the powder bath. It was sweet smelling.

Daisy's first time to Marina Barrage. She was really enjoying herself so much that day. She ran so so so fast. I could feel her happiness with the blue sky and the green grass.

Carrying Daisy to get a pretty picture.

1 | First picture I saw of Daisy.
2 | First time Daisy resting on me.
3 | First time bringing Daisy out for a walk.
4 | First time capturing Daisy's pretty pose.
Daisy and I had so many first times.

Daisy has changed Mafia's sleeping habits after she came. Mafia never ever slept this way before Daisy came haha. Now she sleep like a log with her paws all stretched out.

Daisy staring fiercely at someone I don't know where.

Daisy was so tired. She literally rest her whole head on the wooden tile. Such a cutie.

This was the very last picture I had with Daisy. I wish there were many more.

Mafia + Daisy's very last picture together.

The final look of Mafia + Daisy's cage as of now.

The last picture of Daisy.

Daisy in the box when she passed away. She really died in pain.

Daisy when she was about to be cremated. It saddens me so much to see her disappearing right in front of me. (As I was typing this, I had to carry Mafia to my thighs cause I needed someone to cuddle so badly)

Daisy's ashes. She had very tiny bones. So little of it.

All the texts. Thank you for the care and concern.

It saddens me to see Daisy die right in front of me. She collapsed immediately after I carried her into my arms. She became all muscle-less. She just left me just like that. It breaks my heart to see Daisy leave. She was still a baby. She  could have had a lot more years with my family and I. She was so well-loved by everyone around. Her cuteness was unstoppable.

Daisy, I miss you so much. I miss all the times we had together. I'm sorry, I could not do anything else, but to watch you die right in front of me. I was so useless when you were struggling helplessly, looking high up to grab for more air. I could only pat you to calm down. I watch you die right in front of me. I hate myself so much for not being able to help you out. I kept shouting for your name, for you to wake up, but you didn't. You didn't even close your eyes when you died. You died in lots of pain, I know it.

As I'm typing this, I'm tearing for your loss. You left us so sudden. We grieved so much for death, but nothing else can be done to make you come back to us. I cried so badly, but I know, you won't come back to us. I wish you were here, then this would be a happy 5 life lessons learnt post instead.

Daisy, I hope you'll be happy on the other side at bunnyland. Promise me, to stay happy and never forget us. You will never be forgotten from your friends and family here on the earthy land. I will never forget you cause you and I have created so many memories together. Momsy and little brother misses you too. Every single time they stare at the cage or the living room, they would say you should be here lazing, running or sleeping. We love you so much, so much you can never imagine how heart broken we are for your death.

I love you, Daisy.

DIY | Studded iPhone case with only 6 bucks.

So I came across a studded iPhone case I loved a lot, which I've been dying to DIY myself but haven't cause it's rather costly (At least for me it is) to get studs outside since it's so over-rated now. Here's a simple guide to a studded iPhone case which cost only 5 bucks (Excluding the elephant glue)!

Here's a blue bracelet I found while roaming around the flea at scape. It's even bigger now cause the basement level is full of retail shops now, which are all very affordable still. The bracelet is made with plastic not metal and comes in various colors. Guess what, it cost only 3.90 bucks! And if you get two, it will be 7 bucks.

Get a iPhone cover or case. Preferably a plastic material one too to match the studs. This range actually cost only 2 bucks, which you can always find a cineleisure level two. I already have a few of them so I didn't actually have to re-purchase them. (Y)

I've chosen the baby teal/green color to match my studs.

So first, snip off the string which is in between that holds the studs together. It is actually a duo-stud, which each stud comes in a pair.

Play around with different combinations how you would like to stick the studs on. I tried forming and alphabet "A". For Alvin, for Aucks.

Also tried laying them all in a series pattern.

Finally decided to just stick the one lonely stud at the top of the case. It looks like devil horns actually.

The fun begins! Start sticking them on using elephant glue. You can always use silicon glue but I do not advise that cause it has a thickness which will make the whole look really ugly, and I'm pretty sure it will drop off within days.

And that't the final look of the iPhone cover! Looks really cute huh. The colors are so candy too~

The fatty iPhone cover. So thick! But I love the touch and how I grab the cover. Feels really different.

So hurry make yours today! It only cost 6 bucks~ 5.90 to be exact.

Bunny Love Series | Adulthood.

So Daisy is now 6+ months and Mafia almost 5 months, they are embarking onto adulthood soon! So there will be a few (Major) changes in their daily diet plan.

No more pellets for young bunnies, say hello to adult bunny food!

Bought more hay for Mafia + Daisy. Also, a new shampoo. Lastly, three packs of fresh grown grass! It will be a "test run" before I officially start growing my very own grass for them to play or chew on. Major change on the hay as they are no longer going to be feeding on Alfafa hay, which is meant for younger bunnies. Timothy hay let's go!

Got to share this product cause it is so cool. The grass looks so delicious I'm sure Mafia + Daisy would love it! Just a few simple steps to growing them.

There's actually two packs of "ingredients" in the box: the soil and the seeds. So first, pour all the soil into the box. Yes, the packaging box.

Lay them even of course.

Next pour the seeds in. Spread them evenly cause it might affect the growth of the green grass.

The seeds really look like sunflower seeds right! So cute, so edible. *Yums*

Next, pour 150ml of water into the box.

Then lastly, close the box! That's it! All you have to do is to wait for the seeds to germinate~

From the packaging it says that the roots will start to appear in 2-3 days, and by 10 days it will be fully grown! So excited for the results teehee. Looking forward to seeing the fresh green grass! So for now, see ya!
